The Healing Cat

"Who? Who's coming?" Tobias asked her.

Her breathing stopped.

"Seralee!" he cried. He murmured something in Greek that meant "Live." her body filled with a radiating green light.

She lay there, very still.

Tobias pressed his paw to her chest. He murmured it again, charging her heart.

Her spirit started to drift.

"You're not going to die," Tobias snarled, trying harder and harder.

Her spirit floated up, but it also was not moving.

Tobias kept trying, harder and harder.

Her spirit hovered between life and death.

"Live, live, LIVE!" he screamed.

The shriek awoke her spirit, which began to speed upwards.

Tobias knew he was loosing her, but he kept trying to bring her back.

She pawed at the air, trying to get back to earth, but it didn't work.

Tobias howled in loss.

She entered the clouds, and tried to fight against it, gaining a bit of momentum, but not much.

Tobias was trying to use every ounce of strength to revive.

Suddenly it became easier to float between the two worlds, but she couldn't go any closer to her own body, couldn't get inside. She tried to blow the wind and add words. It was faint, but it worked. "I'm beside you." The wind whispered.

"Beside me?" Tobias looked around.

"My spirit..."

"No! You can't be dead!"

"I am."

"No!" he yowled, falling down to the ground.

"Stop." She whispered.

"You have to come back! I can't live without you!"
