I took a deep breath. "I would like to announce the love of these two cats."

Eagleflight cheered happily for the two cats. Some other cats joined her, but others began whispering to each other. Snakeeyes's ears turned red and he put his head under Tinselpelt's neck.

"They have nothing to be ashamed of, they are not different. Other Clans destroy different cats. My Clan welcomes them. I would like to ask Tinselpelt if he wants to join MutantClan to be with Snakeeyes."

Tinselpelt blinked. Join MutantClan? Well, what would Snakeeyes want? Tinselpelt nodded. "I would like to join."

I nodded at him and smiled.
I stood there, flabbergasted. He had just announced something preposterous and stolen one of my Clan members. He's good. I didn't have anything against him, a cat chooses his mate, and his Clan. But I had one thing. "Tinselpelt." I stated.

Tinselpelt turned towards his former leader. "Yes?" he asked.

Tinselpelt flicked his ears back. "I don't care. I just want to be with Snakeeyes."

I nodded. He had been a great BranchClan(? I forgot.) warrior. But he was gone. To MutantClan. "Wait." I said, as MutantClan turned to leave. "Shrewstar, doesn't Tinselpelt need something...mutant about him?"
I thought. "He will probably have to sleep in the birthing hole."

Tinselpelt nodded agreeingly. Snakeeyes smiled and licked his lover's cheek. "We can be together now!" he whispered exitedly.

"Be noted, Tinselpelt. The birthing hole can be very painful."

Tinselpelt nodded. "Alright."

"MutantClan, we are leaving!" I shouted.

Tinselpelt jumped down with Snakeeyes and Eagleflight, and they padded behind Shrewstar.

I led my Clan back to camp. Some of the Clan members stared at Tinselpelt. Murmurs drifted through the air. I stepped up onto the Leafhill. "Tinselpelt is part of our Clan. Treat him as an equal. He shall sleep in the birthing hole for a moon, where he will deform."

Tinselpelt shivered a bit, but Snakeeyes licked his shoulder. "You'll be fine."

Jaggedfoot walked up to the Leafhill, and spotted a lovely she-cat. He walked up. "Hello."

Tinselpelt looked up at Shrewstar. "Where's the birthing hole?"

"Ah," I said, remembering. I trotted off. "Over here." I pointed my tail down the hole, where whining kits were.

Tinselpelt followed, and looked at the whining kits. "It must be painful," he murmured.

I nodded. "It is...it is."

Tinselpelt gulped. "I have to get in there now?" he asked.

"Yes."

Tinselpelt rigidly stepped in. He lied down, and as he did he felt pain in his body. He felt like he was being burned. Tinselpelt closed his eyes to keep from crying out in pain.

I sighed. For a whole moon he would sit there. I almost felt his pain.
