"Eww!" She cried, even louder.

Harmonypaw rolled her eyes and got up to go outside.

"Harmonypaw." Ashfur called.

She padded over.

"Let's try hunting."

"Alright..." she said. "What do you want me to do?"

"Try and catch a mouse."

"alright." Harmonypaw sniffed around, trying to scent one.

Ashfur watched her carefully, noting all the mistakes.

After she had scented one, Harmonypaw began to stalk it. She was close to catching it, but it felt her and scurried away.

"Try and step lighter, and maybe rest your tail on top of your body, it was sweeping across the ground." Ashfur added, and then his ears twitched towards the sound of a vole.

Harmonypaw nodded, and she quickly turned her attention to the vole. Fixing her errors, she caught the vole easily.

Ashfur smiled at the young she. "Great job for a second try." Then he fell silent as he caught a surprising scent. An eagle was flying by. Ashfur quickly scaled a tree and launched himself upwards off into the air. His teeth clenched around a feathery neck as he landed on the top of a different tree. Climbing down, Ash fur dropped the humongous eagle next to Harmonypaw's vole.

Harmonypaw's eyes widened. "Wow. Where did you learn to do that?"

Ashfur blushed a bit. "My mother taught me before she died. She did it better than I did, I just narrowly caught it."

"Oh. That's so cool..." Harmonypaw murmured, looking down at the magnificent bird.

"Maybe when you get older, I'll show you how." Ashfur offered, still smiling.

"That would be amazing..." Harmonypaw breathed.

Ashfur's blush deepened.

"So uh...are we done?"

Ashfur's redness faded away. He glanced upwards at the sky; night was coming. "Yeah, unless Shrewstar puts us on dawn patrol."

"Well, let's go then?"

Ashfur nodded and started back.

Harmonypaw followed him.

He reached camp, and nodded towards Jaggedfoot, who passed by.
