"I don't love him," she meowed. "I love Jaggedfoot." [OOOO]

"No, that's not it. Though that'll hurt him......"

"Just stay away from me, Alley. Stay away from my clan, my friends, and my children," she hissed.

"Well, I must visit my brother once and a while..."

"Cause any harm to my beloved clan and you'll get your throat ripped out!"

"Your clan? Last time I checked it was my-" Alley was cut off by a snarl.

Eagleflight looked towards the snarl.

I stood there, staring with complete hate at Alley.
"Hello, brother." Alley said, smiling.

"Shrewstar?" Eagleflight meowed in shock.

I growled. "He is my brother."

"I never knew...why didn't you tell me?"

"Why would I?" I shouted at her. "You hate him, imagine how I feel! His blood runs also through my veins!" My mouth broke into a snarl.

"I'm sorry.." Eagleflight backed up a little.

"And now I will kill you."
"You kill me?" Alley laughed. "You jest."

Eagleflight stood beside Shrewstar and snarled, unseathing long gleaming metal claws.

Alley smiled and twisted around both of them, his tail sweeping across Shrewstar's face.
I couldn't see or hear.
"You will be my mate one day." He whispered, and then he was gone.

Eagleflight's heart pounded. Mate to Alley? Never! Eagleflight padded back to camp, she HAD to find Jaggedfoot.

Jaggedfoot padded out of the warriors' den, looking for Eagleflight and her decision.

"Jaggedfoot." Eagleflight smiled. "I know that I really love you. Will you be my mate?" she hoped this would finally get Shrewstar off her back.

I slumped when I heard this, and lagged off to his den.
"Yes!"

Eagleflight smiled and licked Jaggedfoot, then felt one of the kits kick. "Owch." she meowed.

He licked her. "it's okay..." He soothed.

"Yeah. they hurt sometimes though."

"That's life."

She nodded. "Do you want to do anything together right now?"
